How to avoid dry cough and cold in winter?

With the onset of winter, colds, coughs and other diseases make it difficult to survive. To avoid all these, it is important to strengthen your immunity in winter so that your body can fight bacterial and viral infections.

Sour fruit

You might find it strange to hear that eating sour fruits will cause sore throat and cough, but this is not true because nature has put the ability to fight infection in sour fruits. Citrus fruits include fruits such as  orang, lemon and grapefruit because they are rich in vitamin C, which produces white blood cells in the body and plays a role in fighting infection.

Berries

Berries include strawberries, blueberries and mulberries etc. These berries are high in antioxidants, vitamins and fiber which strengthens the immune system.

Yogurt

Yogurt and other fermented foods contain beneficial bacteria called probiotics.

The good bacteria in yogurt help maintain a healthy gut, which plays an important role in immune function.

Spinach

Leafy green vegetables like spinach are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that strengthen the immune system.

Ginger

Apart from this, ginger also plays an excellent role in preventing cough, ginger has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help in relieving respiratory diseases associated with cough and cold.
