Constipation-Treatment at Home

CONSTIPATION AND ITS TREATMENT
AT HOME AND THROUGH HOMEOPATHY

What is Constipation (Qabz)

Constipation is normally considered as a routine problem in our society. In fact, the constipation is the beginning of many diseases.

Constipation is when you pass stools less often than usual, or when you are having difficulty going to the toilet because your stools are hard and small.
It is retention of the stools or inability to have a bowel movement for any reason. Constipation may be acute or chronic.

Causes of Constipation

The details of possible causes are reproduced below:

· Un-balanced or poor diet such as eating same kind of food for long time, lack of vegetables, not enough fiber in the diet, deficiency of Vitamins, too rough or dry food.
· Not enough liquids, lack of exercise, ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
· Sitting habits, anxiety, worry, etc. lead to 'Spastic Colon'. Poor muscular tone and anemia also lead to constipation.
· Deficient activity of thyroid and pituitary gland, Catarrh of the colon, Brain tumor, etc, lead to constipation.
· Certain crude drugs such as opium iron etc; hard waters and functional inactivity of the liver cause constipation.
· Chronic constipation may lead to Hemorrhoids (Piles) and distension of colon with ulcerative condition etc.

Symptoms of Constipation:

Laziness, sadness, sleeplessness, headache, coated tongue, loss of appetite and anemia are some of the symptoms. In certain cases, the retention of the stools is followed by alternating diarrhea, which sometimes leads to wrong diagnosis.

TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR CONSTIPATION

1. TREATMENT AT HOME

A three steps simple treatment which can easily be done at home is given below. It is very effective in most of the chronic cases.

First Step
a) Take one full glass of warm water (approx. 300-350 ml capacity) with one tea spoon of home used salt (sodium chloride) dissolved in it, 15-30 minutes before going to bed daily for 10 nights.
b) The same should be repeated at morning, 15-30 minutes before going to toilet and taking breakfast.

Second Step

c) Take one full glass of warm water (approx. 300-350 ml capacity) without salt, 15-30 minutes before going to bed daily for next 10 nights.
d) The same should be repeated at morning, 15-30 minutes before going to toilet and taking breakfast.

Third Step

e) Take one full glass of simple water (approx. 300-350 ml capacity) without salt, 15-30 minutes before going to bed daily for next 10 nights.
f) The same should be repeated at morning, 15-30 minutes before going to toilet and taking breakfast.

Note: This procedure can be changed according to the condition of the patient. However, in most cases this simple method is effective.

2. Treatment through Tissue Salts (Biochemical Salts)

A very effective composition is given under: In my experience, it always provided perfect results.
Composition: CP3x, CF3x, KM3x, NM3x, Sil6x (all in equal quantity)
Indications: Bowels constipated, dry, hard, stool, dull headache, foul breath, coated-tongue.
Note: This composition can be prepared by oneselfl. However, it is also available at all Homeo stores with different names such as Bioplasgen No.4, Biocom No.4 or Biochemic No. 4 etc)
Dosage: (Take 4 tablets 4-6 times a day as per requirement, regularly for long time. These tablets should be directly put on tongue and let be dissolved. )

Besides, following salts are very useful according to symptoms mentioned against each:

Ferr. Phos: Is useful in constipation when it is due to heat in the lower bowel (rectum) causing hardening of the stools. The stools are very dry. It cures piles and prolapsus of the rectum due to constipation.
Kali Mur: Is indicated when the constipation is due to torpidity of the liver with want of bile. The tongue is coated white or grayish white. Patient cannot tolerate fatty food.
Kali Phos: Is useful in constipation due to nervous causes. It cures paretic condition of' the rectum and colon. The stools are dark brown in colour.
Nat. Mur: Is prescribed when the trouble is due to lack of moisture in the intestinal tract. Dryness of the bowels with watery secretions in other parts. Watery eyes, excess of saliva, watery vomiting call for the use of this remedy. There is water-brash and dribbling of saliva during sleep. Stools are hard, dry and difficult to pass. Constipation with headache and drowsiness needs Nat. Mur.
Cal. Fluor: Is useful when there is inability to expel the faces. This inability is due to the relaxed condition of the rectum. Constipation after confinement needs this remedy.
Nat. Sulph: Is useful when the stools are hard, knotty and streaked with blood preceded and accompanied by smarting in the anus. Even soft stool is expelled with difficulty. It has fetid flatus in large quantities.
Nat. Phos: Should be thought of in obstinate cases. It has habitual constipation with occasional attacks of diarrhoea. The child suffers from worms and acidity.

3. Treatment in Homeopathy

Note: Homeopathic Treatment requires strict individualization. Please do not take any medicine without consulting your physician/homeopath.

Your Sleeping Postures

Your Sleeping Postures and your traits

Check here how you sleep and what your sleep style tells about you.

1. Tummy Sleeper
Sleeping on the Stomach

If you sleep face down all night, you are likely to be narrowing minded. You are probably self centered and always force people to comply with your own needs. You are also likely to be reckless and desultory. Time to change your sleep posture.

2.Back Sleeper
with arms and legs spread out

What a liberty loving soul! Well, this posture reveals your true identity. Comfort-lover and beauty worshiper, you are also a real spendthrift (but luckily you earn just as much). Your other undesirable trait is that you are a bit nosy and seem to enjoy gossiping.

3. Side Sleeper
Lying on one side

This posture indicates that you are a confident person. You will see success in whatever you undertake, owing to your un-relentless endeavor. People who sleep on their right side with their arm stretching over their head and lying on the right side are said to be blessed with power and fortune.

4.Side Sleeper
Lying on one Arm

You are gentle, polite, sincere and loving. Well, nothing is perfect. Build up your self confidence and learn to accept mistakes or imperfection. Happiness will then come your way.

5.Side Sleeper
With one Knee bended

You are inclined to be fussy, always whining and complaining. Nervousness is probably you second name. You tense up easily and get overly excited over small matters. Life is not such a big deal. Learn to relax.

6.Side Sleeper
Curling up

Selfish, jealous and vindictive are words that describe you. People around you got to be careful not step on your toes as you are easily irritated.

7. Unknown cuddled Up

You feel lonely and depressed because you are obsessed with your past failures and set back. You are hesitant and indecisive, giving others an impression that love has been missing in your life.

8. Back Sleeper with Legs Crossed

Anyone who sleeps crossed-legged is said to be self obsessed and finds difficulty in accepting changes. Solitude is your priority. Yet, your redeeming quality is threshold for your tolerance.

Anti aging Tips and Secrets

Anti aging Tips and Secrets

Many women and men too, are looking for anti aging information. The process of time can be very unkind to people. Gravity and the inevitable passage of time take their toll on people. The toll comes in various forms. Perhaps one's neck becomes creepy, or the hair turns gray. Crow's feet around the eyes, or wrinkles around the face are also common. Age spots and dry, dull, rough skin is also a result of aging.

Yet, do you have to simply accept these signs of aging? No, you do not. There are plenty of anti aging tips, techniques that are out there that anyone can try to help reduce the signs of aging and look younger.
We all know that youth is transient. Yet we strive endlessly to achieve eternal youth. It is this striving, which has brought to our knowledge several ways and the means to retard the aging process. Always seeking to transform our looks to a more youthful and appealing one.
It may also be that our looks have actually turned aged in appearance by the natural course of bearing stress and strain over the years. Even then we may wish to don a younger look if possible. In this case there also begins the search for younger looks by us.
Sometimes our appearance takes on an aged look even at a young age. This makes us feel depressed as we all wish to possess ageless beauty. However, we must not lose hope and begin a quest for finding materials and procedures to revitalize our skin and restore its lost youthful glow.
For example, there are plenty of topical agents to be had that can improve the appearance of facial skin. There are many products on the market, some of which are quite pricey. However, you can even make a simple exfoliating product with ingredients you have in your kitchen pantry. Whatever you happen to do in terms of removing old skin, it is important to protect the new skin by applying the appropriate type of moisturizer for your skin type as well as sunscreen. Protection from the sun is a great anti aging tip.
If you happen to have gray hair that is appearing, then by covering it up, you can look years younger. You can choose to take care of this issue by coloring your hair at home, or you can utilize the services of a professional in order to take care of it. Whatever you choose to do, just keep up with it. Gray hair can age you, and it is so simply to combat.
Another anti aging tip is to rid you of, or at least lighten those unsightly age spots that have appeared on your face and hands. There are many creams available that can help minimize age spots or make them disappear. Whether you realize it or not, a few age spots can make you look years beyond your actual age.
Employ the use of anti aging tips, tricks and techniques in order to appear younger. You will look better and feel better about yourself if you choose to do so.
Aging process is impossible to avoid, but we are able to make is less visible for the people around you by the instrumentality of some tricks. There are some rules to help you to turn your clock back.

• Wear the sunglasses to protect your eyes zone from ultra-violet rays and constant screwing up your eyes; this is the reason for wrinkles to appear.• Don’t smoke! Smoking is the reason of untimely skin aging and blood vessels injury, and further, to the risk of lung cancer and cardiovascular diseases appearing. Smoking slows down the process of your wounds healing and restricts your skin’s ability to self-recovering.• Eat well! Nourishing ration rich for fruit, vegetables, legumes, fish, whole grains and mono-saturated fats, kind of olive oil, will improve your skin and health in whole. Avoid consuming processed carbohydrates and sugar, which are the reason for getting high insulin level in your blood. Include antioxidants and essential fatty acid (EFA) into your ration. Find plenty of them in fish and flax seeds. Sufficient amount of water is also necessary to consume to optimize your health and good-looking skin.

• Don’t forget to take care of your skin daily: cleaning, toning up, moistening and other additional procedures depending on your skin type are obligatory. • Good sleep is really important. Proper amount of sleep improves your skin, health and mental ability.

• Avoid stresses. Stress impacts negatively many of your body’s systems. Nowadays plenty of factors result stresses (career pressing, social tension and environmental pollution), therewith, more often than not, they all come over synchronously. Trainings, meditations, breathing exercises and planned “rest time” reduce the tension, making better your health and improving your skin’s appearance at the same time. • Peel off your skin properly. Apply proper (chemical, mechanical or both of them) peeling procedures to your skin. It will become dry and downcast if peeling is not performed regularly. Along with this disposition to pimples has got a chance to appear. Always get started slowly and let the comfort of your skin guide you.

• Be gentle with your skin within your eyes area. Try not to wrinkle and frown too much as it will lead to the wrinkles appearing. Apply the creams for eyes meeting needs of your skin type.

Some more tips

The major factors from a recent study that provide the opportunity to reduce the effects of aging are the following:

1. Physical exercise – must be doing both enough exercise and exercising with enough intensity. Try to build up gradually to 45 minutes of aerobic activity daily, at least every other day. A heart rate monitor is useful to understanding the level the heart is being exercised. In order to keep the body as youthful as possible, mass muscle needs to be retained which means weight training 3 times per week.

2. Dietary – reduce the intake of animal protein and increase the consumption of cold water fish, protein supplements may be used as needed. At least 45 grams of fiber daily are recommended. Eat your broccoli! At least 3 servings of a cruciferous vegetable daily (brussel sprouts, cabbage, or cauliflower). Olive oil should be used for cooking purposes.

3. Hydration – ½ gallon of water and juices taken daily. Reduce caffeine, soda, and any beverages with sugar or sugar derivative.

4. Supplements – most important B Complex, garlic, lecithin, vitamins A, D, E, & C, calcium, and magnesium.

5. Detoxification – over the years, unhealthy levels of toxin accumulate in our systems. Unfortunately, it is a fact of life today toxic substances are routinely in our food, water, and air. An easy solvent to get started is a solution of 1 gallon filtered water, 1/8 cup hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar. Be sure and wash all fruits and vegetables in this solution before eating.

6. Stress Reduction – If you’re under continuous stress, it’s not a matter of if you get sick, it’s a matter of when. You can only be happy if you think happy thoughts, angry if you think angry thoughts. Reduce stress all day, every day.

Anti-Aging Herbs and Spices

Every time you flavor your meals with herbs or spices you are literally "upgrading" your food without adding a single calorie. You are taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary by adding color, flavour, vitamins, and often medicinal properties. Here's why:
Spices and herbs maximize nutrient density.

Herbs and spices contain antioxidants, minerals and multivitamins.
Spices and herbs create a more thermogenic diet. Because spices are nutrient dense, they are thermogenic, which means they naturally increase your metabolism. As your metabolism revs higher you will burn more of the food you have already eaten as fuel, and store less as body fat. At the dinner party, finish off the meal with coffee or tea sprinkled with cinnamon.
Spices and herbs create a more thermogenic diet.
Because spices are nutrient dense, they are thermogenic, which means they naturally increase your metabolism. As your metabolism revs higher you will burn more of the food you have already eaten as fuel, and store less as body fat. At the dinner party, finish off the meal with coffee or tea sprinkled with cinnamon, which contains dozens of nutrients.zens of nutrients.

Some spices and herbs increase your overall feeling of fullness and satiety, so you'll eat less. One study conducted at Maanstricht University in the Netherlands showed that when one consumes an appetizer with half a teaspoon of red pepper flakes before each meal, it decreased their calorie intake by 10-16%. ….think of starting with a tomato soup sprinkled with red pepper.

You can eliminate salt. When you flavor your foods with spices instead of salt you'll immediately see health and physical benefits. Excessive salt intake keeps water inside your body. Once you kick the habit you will no long have excessive bloating and water retention. You'll also lose the salt and salty snack craving. That's because using salt begets using more salt: after a while it's impossible to use just a pinch, because you've trained your brain to require a salty taste for everything you eat. Over time, using spices will also lessen your cravings for simple, nutrient poor carbohydrate snacks because you will not be yearning for a savory, salty taste. Stay clear of the chips and dips and you're doing your brain and your body big favour.

Spices and herbs have real medicinal properties. Study after study shows the benefits of distinct herbs and spices. One study at Malmà University Hospital in Sweden showed that up to two hours after eating, people who ate cinnamon-spiced rice pudding measured significantly lower blood-glucose levels than those who had eaten the unspiced version. Other studies suggest that cinnamon may improve blood-glucose levels by increasing a person's insulin sensitivity. One 2003 trial of 60 people with type 2 diabetes reported that consuming as little as two teaspoons of cinnamon daily for six weeks reduced blood-glucose levels significantly. It also improved blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels, perhaps because insulin plays a key role in regulating fats in the body. So if you start adding spices to your diet now, you might be able to see real health benefits in (a few months) …
Every little bit counts, so spice it up!

* Rosemary and basil for their anti-inflammatory power
* Cumin and sage for their dementia-fighting power

Irregular or Missing Menstrual Cycle

Irregular or Missing Menstrual Cycle

What Causes Menstrual Cycle

When a girl reaches puberty, her hormones become active. A hormone called estrogen is made in the ovaries. Estrogen affects the lining of the womb and makes it grow and develop. After 10 to 14 days, the ovaries release an egg, and begin to produce another hormone called progesterone. The egg has now moved from the ovary to the uterus through the Fallopian tube. If the egg has not been fertilized by a sperm, the production of progesterone stops. When that happens, the lining of the womb comes away with a some blood and the woman gets her monthly period. The entire process takes about 28 days.

Irregular and Missing Menstrual Periods

Menstrual cycles that vary more than a few days in length from month to month are considered irregular. Most menstrual cycle intervals occur about every four weeks, with the normal range between 24 and 35 days. To measure your menstrual cycle, start counting from the first day of your last period and stop counting on the first day of your next period. Don't worry if you have one or two irregular cycles; Occasionally all women have variations. True irregularity persists over several months so if you do notice wide fluctuations in your cycle, speak to your doctor about it.
Periods are often light or widely spaced both when a young woman starts having periods and when a woman is nearing the menopause. This is normal because the woman is not producing an egg every month. Many women experience widely spaced periods typically having one or two periods every six months. The common cause of infrequent periods is a condition called polycystic ovaries. This is a common condition affecting as many as 10 per cent of women. There are a large number of very small (less than 1cm) cysts on the ovaries and these are in association with a hormone imbalance. The result of this is that women do not ovulate regularly and so their periods are usually infrequent.
Some of the factors associated with temporary cessation of periods are: 1) Calorie-restricted diets 2) Strenuous exercise3) High levels of stress. Some women with no previous symptoms also miss periods after discontinuing use of oral contraceptives. Typically, in each of the above situations, moderation in diet, and exercise, stress reduction, and the passage of time, help return normal menstrual function. Depending on the cause, there may be too much or too little estrogen produced by the body. Over a long period of time too much estrogen can cause overgrowth of the cells in the lining of the uterus, (which can lead to cancer), while too little estrogen can cause calcium loss from the bones (leading to osteoporosis).

A home remedy for diabetes treatment

Sugar Diabetes Treatment at Home

(Lady Finger Treatment of Sugar)

Please note that another name for Lady Finger (Bhindi ) is " OKRA ".Last month in one of TV program I learnt of a treatment of Sugar (Diabetes). Since I am diabetic, I tried it and it was very useful and my Sugar is in control now. In fact I have already reduced my medicine.

Take two pieces of Lady Finger (Bhindi) and remove/cut both ends of each piece. Also put a small cut in the middle and put these two pieces in glass of water. Cover the glass and keep it at room temperature during night. Early morning, before breakfast simply remove two pieces of lady finger (bhindi) from the glass and drink that water.Keep doing it on daily basis.
Within two weeks, you will see remarkable results in reduction of your SUGAR.
My sister has got rid of her diabetes. She was on Insulin for a few years, but after taking the lady fingers every morning for a few months, she has stopped Insulin but continues to take the lady fingers every day. But she chops the lady fingers into fine pieces in the night, adds the water and drinks it all up the next morning. Please. try it as it will not do you any harm even if it does not do much good to you, but U have to keep taking it for a few months before U see results, as most cases might be chronic.

Drinking Hot water after meals

Drinking Hot water after meals

Drinking Hot water after meals This article is not only about the hot water after your meal, but about heart attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or hot water/tea after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

Homeopathy and Bronchial Asthma

Homeopathy and Bronchial Asthma

Definition:
An acute, spasmodic condition, characterized by paroxysms of wheezy, difficult breathing and tightness in the chest. Usually becomes chronic.
Causes:Often said to be of allergic, dietetic, climatic, emotional or familial origin. No consistent cause is known. Usually better from a change of environment.
Symptoms:Difficulty of expiration, tightness of the chest, anxiety, fatigue, laboured, audible expiratory phase, with a high pitched wheeze. Perspiration. Grey, yellow or white, cast-like sputum.

Treatment:

Aconitum napellus: A plethoric individual; with anxiety and dyspnea after exposure to wind, cold or chill.

Antimonium tartaricum: Presence of fine, sibilant, mucous races throughout the chest. Full of phlegm, with inability to expectorate. Severe dyspnea. The patient must be seated up.

Arsenicum album: Short, anxious breaths, worse on lying down. Pale face, burning heat in the chest, cold sweats; prostration worse after midnight (or at noon). Patient prefers warm drinks and warm food.

Cuprum arsenicosum: Severe shortness of breath, a sense of constriction and weight in the chest, often with pain under the (left) shoulder blade. The patient is usually icy cold and covered with sweat.

Grindelia: Stops breathing when falling asleep, wakes up suffocating with a start, gasps for breath. Cannot breathe easily when lying down.

Ipecacuanha: Tightness in the chest and a loud rattling cough; sweating, anxious; cold, restlessness and nausea.

Kalium carbonicum: Severe wheezing and shortness of breath; worse at night in the early evening and in the morning. Usually a 3 a.m. aggravation. Worse with dust and central heating. Usually associated with anxiety and weakness.

Lachesis: Sleeps into an aggravation of the asthmatic attack.

Medorrhinum: A dry cough and shortness of breath; worse when lying down and better on kneeling with face down, or lying on the stomach. Useful in chronic, intractable, recurrent cases. Not to be repeated for a period of at least six months after the initial administration.
Natrium sulphuricum: For asthma during damp weather. Moist asthma with rattling in the chest. Looseness of bowels during and after each attack (sycotic taint).

Nux vomica: Spasms of the bronchi; irritability and a tongue with a yellow coating. Nausea, flatulence and constipation. Asthma is worse in the early mornings.
Phosphorus: One of the best and most reliable remedies, when there is noisy, wheezy breathing, oppression and cough in a tall, thin, narrow-chested person. The patient is nearly always anxious and needs much reassurance and attention.

Sulphur: For chronic cases, with a recurrent cough and the expectoration of foul, thick mucus. Failure to respond to earlier remedies.
