HEMORRHOIDS OR PILES AND HOMEOPATHY

Piles or hemorrhoids are varicose or swollen rectal veins. The veins become distended in little lumps in which the blood partially coagulates. These little lumps are called piles, and may be wholly within the rectum or protrude from it, may be bleeding or "blind" piles; the latter do not bleed. They vary in color, and are often very painful. Indolent habits, luxurious living, sedentary pursuits, the free use of stimulants, patent medicines, cathartics, diseases of the liver and sexual excesses favor the appearance of hemorrhoids. When the piles occur altogether within the anus, they are called internal piles. The-piles are also seen partly internal and partly external.
Symptoms: Streaks of bright red blood occur in the stools. There is pain on defecation, which may continue for some time after the passage of the stools. Inflamed piles are troublesome and make movement impossible. Some times, the pain extends to the testicles or bladder. Constipation always accompanies partly due to mechanical obstruction and partly due to the pain caused by the stools. Itching piles are often trouble some. In severe cases, constitutional symptoms develop with lassitude, irritability, headache, and faintness and later on bleeding causes severe anemia.

Diarrhoea and Homeopathy

Definition:

Frequent and watery bowel movements, increase in frequency of bowel motions, or increased stool liquidity.

Some important Signs and Symptoms of Diarrhoea

  • Cramping pain in the abdomen
  • Needing to get to the toilet urgently.
  • Bloated feeling in the tummy.
  • Increased volume of stools
  • Fever or chills may also be accompanied with diarrhoea.
  • Signs of dehydration such as feeling very thirsty, rapid heart beat, feeling or being sick, and dark looking urine etc
  • In some cases stool contains blood or mucus
  • Nausea or vomiting.
  • Headache.

During diarrhoea, the body loses water and electrolytes in the form of liquid stool. Fluids can also be lost through vomit, sweat, urine and breathing. Dehydration occurs when these losses are not adequately replaced.

Diarrhoea may present in different forms such as acute watery diarrhoea, dysentery (blood in stool), or persistent diarrhoea (more than 14 days).
Diarrhoea causes dehydration. Children are more likely than adults to die from diarrhoea because they become dehydrated more quickly.

Causes of Diarrhoea

The main causes of diarrhoea are poor hygiene, lack of clean drinking water. In children, the trend towards bottle-feeding rather than breastfeeding is the major causes of diarrhea.
Some foods have a laxative affect naturally for instance prunes or figs so over indulgence will give temporary diarrhea.

Acute diarrhoea is usually caused due to accidental intake of infected food or drinks. Once the infection sets in the person has frequent loose motions which may be accompanied by fever, abdominal pain & vomiting. There might be presence of blood &/or mucus in the stools.
Chronic &/or recurrent diarrhoea i.e. repeated bouts of diarrhoea with/without periods of normal motions intermittently, could have many other causes like tuberculosis of the intestines, irritable bowel syndrome, malabsorption, ulcerative colitis etc. Detailed investigations are needed in such cases to find a cause before treatment can be started.

DIETARY ADVICE:

  • It is very important to drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated .
  • It is better to avoid food until the diarrhoea has stopped, but if you do want to eat then consume light, nourishing meals such as homemade soups and plain crackers.
  • Avoid protein for two days to rest the digestive tract.

Facial hair, unwanted hair, excessive hair and homeopathy

Facial hair/unwanted hair/excessive hair growth and Homeopathy
There are certain myths about facial hair in women in some parts of Asia sub-continent such as
  • It is said that facial hair in women are a symbol of blessing. These should not be removed in any case.
  • Other says that the women with facial hair are un-reliable.Some says, no they become wise after the growth of facial hair.
To me , all above things have no truth in it. No doubt, excessive facial and other unwanted hair growth is undesirable, it is the symptom of some internal disturbance and /or imbalance. The research so far, has shown that there are two major root causes of excessive hair growth:
a. Genetice make-up
b. Imblance/distrubance in some harmons (especially androgen group)
The sebaceous gland associated with most hairs is actually more sensitive to androgens hormones than is the hair follicle. Hyperstimulation of the sebaceous gland accompanied by bacterial infection results in acne .The endocrinologic factors that influence the pilosebaceous unit are: the rate and amount of androgen secretion by the ovary and adrenal gland the blood concentration of sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) conversion in the fat cells and skin of weak, less potent androgens, to potent androgens sensitivity of the pilosebaceous unit to androgens
Note: The pilosebaceous unit consists of the hair shaft, the hair follicle, the sebaceous gland which makes sebum, and the erector pili muscle which causes the hair to stand up when it contracts.
Pilosebaceous Unit

Unwanted and/or excessive hair growth depends upon several different factors. There fore the best way to treat above is to control these factors.
  • altered androgen metabolism
  • increased androgen production
  • decreased androgen binding in the circulation
  • exogenous androgens

Note: Increased growth of hair on the face of women just before and just after menopause is quite a common occurrence. It is primarily because of decreased estrogens.

What Homeopathy Says

Homeopathy is very unique treating system. It does not favour the use of cream, lotions, waxing and other methods used for the removal of facial hair. As mentioned above, the facial hair and other excessive hair growth is due to certain imbalance in the body. So, the homeopathy believes in activating the body’s own immune systme to treat all types of diseases. The names of diseases are meaningless in homeopathy. The homeopathy treats the patient, keeping in view the totality of symtoms.
Here is a list of homeopathic medicines with a very short description, which are mostly used in treating the facial hair and other parts excessive hair growth. Select the most matching medicine. For further reading, consult the Materia Medica. In case of any confusion, consult your physician.

Have a great Sleep

Have a good Sleep

Good Sleep is a blessing.

It is very important for the brain and body to rest and be restored.
There are many body’s functions that take place during sleep to keep the body healthy and revive.

There may be difference of opinions about the amount of sleep that people need. Infants may need up to twenty hours; many children need from ten to fourteen per night. The average requirement for adults is estimated at Five to eight hours.

Symptoms

Insomnia (sleeplessness) can be defined as complaint of inadequate or poor quality sleep due to numerous reasons. The insomnia includes

a) Waiting long or having difficulty falling asleep
b) Waking up frequently after falling asleep and difficulty returning to sleep again.
c) Having very short duration of sleep or waking very early in the morning
d) Un refreshing/ heaviness feeling at morning etc

Causes -
The most common sufferers of insomnia include the unemployed, divorcee or widow or a hospitalized person. Usually, women sleep more than men. In the same manner, they are the leaders in suffering from sleeplessness also. Sleep can be disturbed for everyone due to urination or thirst. But insomniac patients will have any one of the following triggers that drowns them in a sleepless state.
  • Noise
  • Light
  • Temperature and humidity
  • Uncomfortable pillows
  • Uncomfortable bed
  • Recovering from jet lag
  • Hunger
  • Habits of overwork or extended sleeping schedule
  • Overexcitement or anxiety or depression
  • Thoughtful and restless
  • Nightmares
  • Drugs and smoking
  • Excess coffee or tea intake
  • Painful and chronic diseases
  • Fear of strangers
  • Fear or change of environments due to strange places, loneliness, hospital stay, etc.
  • Fear of any other cause

Besides, there are certain diseases which often cause sleeplessness
Nervous disorders - Any nervous stimulation of reticular system will disturb the person and keep him/her awake. Any lesion of mid pontine area which separates lower portions from cortex will prevent going to sleep, causing complete sleeplessness.
Respiratory disorders - Any breathing difficulty can cause arousal from sleep
Circulatory disorders - lack of oxygen, due to poor circulation
The insomnia not only reduce energy, but affect the whole body’s functions. Many people with insomnia have complaints of lack of concentration, dulness, muscles twitching, restlessness, headache, weak memory etc.Sleeplessness is an indicator that the person is in trouble, either with his/her mind or body, is hiding secrets, is over conscious and/or is a silent sufferer.

Some tips for good sleep:

Sleep arises from the balance of the inhibition and arousal stimuli. First of all, calm your mind and shut all your thoughts, then sleep will not or never get away. Some people go on changing the place and positions, covering the face, legs, ears, hands and eyes, switching off the lights, etc., for getting good sleep. Every tic of the clock will alarm, trigger and wake them up. Sleep is not the matter of all those things, but it is in the calmness of the mind. Removing the actual cause could help. Following tips can help in sleeping:

  • Never miss dinner even if you have no desire to eat.
  • Take a light meal.
  • There should be a gap of at least one hour between dinner and going to bed.
  • Take a walk before sleep
  • Try to relieve tension, anxiety and fear through walk, having gossip with family members, friends etc.
  • Forget the day’s activities and expect tomorrow's dawn of brightness
  • Take a warm bath.
  • Read some mind relaxing books for sometime before sleep
  • Stay in comfortable position and situation to get a good start-up.
  • Relax your mind.

Note: Sleeping Posture tells about you. For further details read my article
How you sleep?

Your Sleeping Posture tells about you.

Homeopathy and insomnia:

In Homeopathy, the remedy is selected on the basis of symptoms of the patient, including physical, mental (emotional states, depression, anxious, etc) and family history. Homeopathy treats the patients, rather than the diseases or its effects. Homeopathy acts neurologically and helps the brain attain calmness. So it can give a permanent solution. It gives psychological support to withstand emotional conditions. Homeopathy, with its dynamic approach, can cure sleeplessness wonderfully. The major credit point with Homeopathy is its nil side-effects and also its effective cure which is permanent without any persistent usage of drugs or dependency or habit-forming.
Homeopathic remedies are useful during episodes of insomnia, and may also help individuals with longer-standing sleep disorders. If problems are serious or very distressing, consult a professional homeopath.

Sleeplessness from nervous excitement; patient lies wide awake, tossing and turning, falling asleep toward morning with vivid dreams; nightmares and hallucinations at night; dread of being alone especially in the dark.

Zincum Metallicum

Because of restless legs

Here some Homeopathic medicines are elaborated in detail. For further reading, kindly consult a Homeopathic Materia Medica.

Aconitum Napellus

This remedy can be helpful if a person panics with insomnia. Fear and agitation come on suddenly when the person is drifting off to sleep, or may even wake a sleeping person up.

Arsenicum Album

People who need this remedy are often anxious and compulsive about small details, and have trouble sleeping if they feel that everything is not in place. They are often deeply weary and exhausted, yet feel restless physically and mentally. Sleep, when it arrives, can be anxious and disturbed, with dreams full of fear and insecurity.

Belladonna

The sleepless conditions calling for Belladonna are due to congestion; sleep is extremely restless, as a rule it is interrupted by talking, startings, muscular jerkings and spasmodic motions; frightful images appear on closing the eyes and the patient therefore dreads sleep. Children awake from sleep frightened. Oftentimes there is a violent throbbing in the brain which prevents sleep. The dreams found under Belladonna are frightful ones, and they constantly awaken the patient. It is probably our best remedy for insomnia due to cerebral hyperaemia; that is, it will be most often indicated, also after morphine which produces cerebral hyperaemia of a passive variety. Aconite comes in here, too, but with Aconite there is intense anxiety and restlessness, fear of disaster or death. Cuprum, Stramonium and Zincum have the symptom that the patient is aroused from sleep frightened. Lycopodium. Here the child awakens very cross; very sleepy during the daytime. Belladonna is most useful in restless sleep during dentition; sleeps with eyes partially open; sudden starting, twitching, hot head and dilated pupils will indicate it.

Calcarea phosphorica:

This remedy is often helpful to children with growing pains, and also to adults who have aching in the joints and bones, or neck and shoulder tension that make it hard to fall asleep. The person lies awake for many hours, feeling upset and irritable—then has trouble waking in the morning, feeling deeply tired and weak.

Cannabis Indica

In obstinate and intractable forms of insomnia, Cannabis is one of the best remedies we have to induce sleep. An irregular sleep is more of an indication than absolute insomnia. It produces a tranquil slumber, relieves the nervousness and neuralgic pains , and even if given in doses of from 5 to 15 drops of the tincture in water it leaves no bad effects behind. Halbert says do not use it lower than the third potency which is a commendable suggestion. Other remedies for the want of sleep are the following, which have been used empirically, but which are far superior to the hypnotics of the allopathic school: Passiflora incarnata in doses of from 30 to 60 drops, and repeated if necessary, will induce sleep when mental irritation or pain is the cause of the wakefulness. Camphora mono-bromata is useful for sleeplessness due to the continued use of tea. In insomnia of locomotor ataxia or epilepsy give 3X potency. Coca. Sleeplessness from mental exhaustion or anaemia; a useful remedy in worn-out brain workers, night watchers and those who have lost much sleep. Avena sativa in doses of from 10 to15 drops of the tincture will oftentimes induce a peaceful dreamless sleep in those who are nervous and exhausted. It is not impossible that a complete proving of these latter remedies will show further their value in sleeplessness. Arnica and Gelsemium should not be overlooked in sleeplessness from overexertion. Of prime importance are the casual indications of sleeplessness, and these are legion.

Chamomilla

For sleeplessness in children due to severe pain, Chamomilla is a sovereign remedy. It quiets the irritability and the emotional excitement and the patient sleeps. It is also adapted to weak, nervous women. The sleep is tormented by dreams which are fanciful, vivid and anxious; the patient is hot and thirsty. Moaning in sleep. This is also a remedy acting better in the higher potencies. Ignatia has sleeplessness from depressing news, recent grief, causing a hyperaemia. Coffea, sleeplessness from good news. Opium suits sleeplessness when the patient is sleepy but cannot get to sleep, is kept awake by hearing distinctly ordinary noises, such as the ticking of clocks and the crowing of cocks. Great drowsiness is characteristic of the remedy.

Cocculus:

This remedy is often helpful to those who feel “too tired to sleep” after long-term sleep loss—from getting up with an infant, taking care of someone who is ill, a disruptive work schedule, travel and jet lag, or chronic worry and insomnia. The person may feel weak and dizzy, with trouble thinking, and may be sleepy, irritable, or tearful.

Coffea cruda

Mental excitement and nervous stimulation that keep a person from sleeping suggest a need for remedy. Thoughts preventing sleep can be happy or distressing. The person may be looking forward to something that will happen in the morning, but feels stressed and exhausted as the night wears on. If the person falls asleep, it is usually very light with vivid dreams, and disturbed by any little noise or motion. (This remedy can also help if overuse of caffeine is the cause of sleeplessness.)

Gelsemium

For the insomnia of brain workers, Gelsemium is a remedy. It is indicated in business men who pass restless nights, awaken early in the morning and worry over their business affairs. It also is most useful in a state of alternate excitement and depression. Bryonia is useful where the business cares of the day keep him awake. Gelsemium has also sleeplessness from emotional disturbances, and after evening company. Ambra grisea is another remedy for sleeplessness from worry and business troubles. The patient goes to bed tired, but immediately becomes wakeful. It is especially suited to thin, spare men who are nervous and subject to nervous chills.

Hyoscyamus

Sleeplessness from nervous excitement; the brain is full of bewildering ideas and images. After long illnesses and the brain cells are illy nourished this remedy is very useful. It is especially indicated in sleeplessness in children, who twitch, cry out frightened and tremble. Sleeplessness from overworked minds and without apparent cause may be benefited by Hyoscyamus. Talcott says: "Hyoscyamus paints the mental town of its victim a brilliant and luminous red." The patient is jolly and wakeful. Hyoscyamus lacks the anxiety of Aconite, the violence of Belladonna, the pessimism of Nux vomica, and the stupidity of Gelsemium.

Ignatia

If insomnia is caused by emotional upset (grief or loss, a disappointment in love, a shock, or even an argument) this remedy may be helpful. The person is sensitive and nervous, and may often sigh and yawn in the daytime, but find it hard to relax at night. As the person tries to fall asleep, the arms and legs may twitch or itch. If sleep arrives, it is usually light, with jerking of the legs and arms, or long and troubling nightmares.

Kali phosphoricum

A person with insomnia from nervous exhaustion caused by overwork or mental strain, or following a taxing illness, may respond to this remedy. The person is very weak and sensitive to everything (noise, lights, touch, and pain). Irritability, depression, and anxiety with an empty feeling in the stomach are often seen.

Lycopodium

People who need this remedy often have no memory of dreams and often doubt that they have slept at all. Insomnia may set in primarily because of worry: lack of confidence can make them doubt their own abilities, although they are usually very capable. Insomnia caused by digestive trouble, especially gas, can also indicate a need for this remedy. The person feels drowsy after meals, but has trouble sleeping at bedtime. Ravenous hunger in the night that wakes a person up is another indication for Lycopodium.

Nux vomica

People who have insomnia after over-indulgence in stimulants, food, and drink-or after overexertion, either physically or mentally-may benefit from this remedy. They may be able to drift off, but sleep is light, and they often awaken in the early morning (typically three a.m.) and lie awake for hours. On getting up, they are tense, impatient, and irritable, with a feeling that they sorely need more sleep.

Silicea (also called Silica):

This is a useful remedy for nervous people with low stamina who get too tired, then have insomnia. The person often goes to sleep at first, but awakens suddenly with a hot or surging feeling in the head—and finds it hard to fall asleep again. People who need this remedy usually have anxious dreams, and some (especially children) sleepwalk frequently.

Sulphur

This remedy may be helpful if insomnia comes from itching—or an increasing feeling of heat in bed, especially in the feet. The person is irritable and anxious, and often feels a need to throw the covers off. Lying awake between two and five a.m. is typical. Insomnia that develops because of a lack of exercise may also be helped with Sulphur.

Zincum metallicum:

People who need this remedy often have insomnia from mental activity. They can get wound up from overwork—or be naturally inclined toward nervousness and just have trouble relaxing. Their legs and arms often feel extremely restless, and lying still in bed may be impossible. Even during the daytime, a person who needs this remedy may feel a constant need to move the muscles.

Difference between 6x and 6c potency

One of the Member at nchpk group asked a question:

What is the difference between 6

As far as the preparation process is concerned, it is bit different in tissue salt and other homeopathic remedies. For record I mention here the process which will make it clear.

The cell salts are simply triturated in 1:9 ration and 6 steps are taken accordingly to reach the 6x whereas in homeopathic remedies, it is triturated to 3x, afterward the next 3 steps are done through dilution(the potency is sprayed onto the pellets or dropped in liquid at 1:99 ratio).

As both, the 6c and 6x, are made in quite different way, there is possibility that they will work in different way. But, to me, the 6c potency is higher than the 6x potency, keeping in view the preparation. Besides, in my experience, the 6c potency works better in acute cases and 6x works better in chronic cases.
No doubt this is a debatable point and I invite your further comments on it.

Constipation-Treatment at Home

CONSTIPATION AND ITS TREATMENT
AT HOME AND THROUGH HOMEOPATHY

What is Constipation (Qabz)

Constipation is normally considered as a routine problem in our society. In fact, the constipation is the beginning of many diseases.

Constipation is when you pass stools less often than usual, or when you are having difficulty going to the toilet because your stools are hard and small.
It is retention of the stools or inability to have a bowel movement for any reason. Constipation may be acute or chronic.

Causes of Constipation

The details of possible causes are reproduced below:

· Un-balanced or poor diet such as eating same kind of food for long time, lack of vegetables, not enough fiber in the diet, deficiency of Vitamins, too rough or dry food.
· Not enough liquids, lack of exercise, ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
· Sitting habits, anxiety, worry, etc. lead to 'Spastic Colon'. Poor muscular tone and anemia also lead to constipation.
· Deficient activity of thyroid and pituitary gland, Catarrh of the colon, Brain tumor, etc, lead to constipation.
· Certain crude drugs such as opium iron etc; hard waters and functional inactivity of the liver cause constipation.
· Chronic constipation may lead to Hemorrhoids (Piles) and distension of colon with ulcerative condition etc.

Symptoms of Constipation:

Laziness, sadness, sleeplessness, headache, coated tongue, loss of appetite and anemia are some of the symptoms. In certain cases, the retention of the stools is followed by alternating diarrhea, which sometimes leads to wrong diagnosis.

TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR CONSTIPATION

1. TREATMENT AT HOME

A three steps simple treatment which can easily be done at home is given below. It is very effective in most of the chronic cases.

First Step
a) Take one full glass of warm water (approx. 300-350 ml capacity) with one tea spoon of home used salt (sodium chloride) dissolved in it, 15-30 minutes before going to bed daily for 10 nights.
b) The same should be repeated at morning, 15-30 minutes before going to toilet and taking breakfast.

Second Step

c) Take one full glass of warm water (approx. 300-350 ml capacity) without salt, 15-30 minutes before going to bed daily for next 10 nights.
d) The same should be repeated at morning, 15-30 minutes before going to toilet and taking breakfast.

Third Step

e) Take one full glass of simple water (approx. 300-350 ml capacity) without salt, 15-30 minutes before going to bed daily for next 10 nights.
f) The same should be repeated at morning, 15-30 minutes before going to toilet and taking breakfast.

Note: This procedure can be changed according to the condition of the patient. However, in most cases this simple method is effective.

2. Treatment through Tissue Salts (Biochemical Salts)

A very effective composition is given under: In my experience, it always provided perfect results.
Composition: CP3x, CF3x, KM3x, NM3x, Sil6x (all in equal quantity)
Indications: Bowels constipated, dry, hard, stool, dull headache, foul breath, coated-tongue.
Note: This composition can be prepared by oneselfl. However, it is also available at all Homeo stores with different names such as Bioplasgen No.4, Biocom No.4 or Biochemic No. 4 etc)
Dosage: (Take 4 tablets 4-6 times a day as per requirement, regularly for long time. These tablets should be directly put on tongue and let be dissolved. )

Besides, following salts are very useful according to symptoms mentioned against each:

Ferr. Phos: Is useful in constipation when it is due to heat in the lower bowel (rectum) causing hardening of the stools. The stools are very dry. It cures piles and prolapsus of the rectum due to constipation.
Kali Mur: Is indicated when the constipation is due to torpidity of the liver with want of bile. The tongue is coated white or grayish white. Patient cannot tolerate fatty food.
Kali Phos: Is useful in constipation due to nervous causes. It cures paretic condition of' the rectum and colon. The stools are dark brown in colour.
Nat. Mur: Is prescribed when the trouble is due to lack of moisture in the intestinal tract. Dryness of the bowels with watery secretions in other parts. Watery eyes, excess of saliva, watery vomiting call for the use of this remedy. There is water-brash and dribbling of saliva during sleep. Stools are hard, dry and difficult to pass. Constipation with headache and drowsiness needs Nat. Mur.
Cal. Fluor: Is useful when there is inability to expel the faces. This inability is due to the relaxed condition of the rectum. Constipation after confinement needs this remedy.
Nat. Sulph: Is useful when the stools are hard, knotty and streaked with blood preceded and accompanied by smarting in the anus. Even soft stool is expelled with difficulty. It has fetid flatus in large quantities.
Nat. Phos: Should be thought of in obstinate cases. It has habitual constipation with occasional attacks of diarrhoea. The child suffers from worms and acidity.

3. Treatment in Homeopathy

Note: Homeopathic Treatment requires strict individualization. Please do not take any medicine without consulting your physician/homeopath.

Your Sleeping Postures

Your Sleeping Postures and your traits
Check here how you sleep and what your sleep style tells about you.

1. Tummy Sleeper
Sleeping on the Stomach

If you sleep face down all night, you are likely to be narrowing minded. You are probably self centered and always force people to comply with your own needs. You are also likely to be reckless and desultory. Time to change your sleep posture.

2.Back Sleeper
with arms and legs spread out

What a liberty loving soul! Well, this posture reveals your true identity. Comfort-lover and beauty worshiper, you are also a real spendthrift (but luckily you earn just as much). Your other undesirable trait is that you are a bit nosy and seem to enjoy gossiping.

3. Side Sleeper
Lying on one side

This posture indicates that you are a confident person. You will see success in whatever you undertake, owing to your un-relentless endeavour. People who sleep on their right side with their arm stretching over their head and lying on the right side are said to be blessed with power and fortune.

4.Side Sleeper
Lying on one Arm

You are gentle, polite, sincere and loving. Well, nothing is perfect. Build up your self confidence and learn to accept mistakes or imperfection. Happiness will then come your way.

5.Side Sleeper
With one Knee bended

You are inclined to be fussy, always whining and complaining. Nervousness is probably you second name. You tense up easily and get overly excited over small matters. Life is not such a big deal. Learn to relax.

6.Side Sleeper
Curling up

Selfish, jealous and vindictive are words that describe you. People around you got to be careful not step on your toes as you are easily irritated.

7. Unknown cuddled Up

You feel lonely and depressed because you are obsessed with your past failures and set back. You are hesitant and indecisive, giving others an impression that love has been missing in your life.

8. Back Sleeper with Legs Crossed

Anyone who sleeps crossed-legged is said to be self obsessed and finds difficulty in accepting changes. Solitude is your priority. Yet, your redeeming quality is threshold for your tolerance.

Irregular or Missing Menstrual Periods

What Causes Menstrual Cycle

When a girl reaches puberty, her hormones become active. A hormone called estrogen is made in the ovaries. Estrogen affects the lining of the womb and makes it grow and develop. After 10 to 14 days, the ovaries release an egg, and begin to produce another hormone called progesterone. The egg has now moved from the ovary to the uterus through the Fallopian tube. If the egg has not been fertilized by a sperm, the production of progesterone stops. When that happens, the lining of the womb comes away with a some blood and the woman gets her monthly period. The entire process takes about 28 days.

Irregular and Missing Menstrual Periods

Menstrual cycles that vary more than a few days in length from month to month are considered irregular. Most menstrual cycle intervals occur about every four weeks, with the normal range between 24 and 35 days. To measure your menstrual cycle, start counting from the first day of your last period and stop counting on the first day of your next period. Don't worry if you have one or two irregular cycles; Occasionally all women have variations. True irregularity persists over several months so if you do notice wide fluctuations in your cycle, speak to your doctor about it.
Periods are often light or widely spaced both when a young woman starts having periods and when a woman is nearing the menopause. This is normal because the woman is not producing an egg every month. Many women experience widely spaced periods typically having one or two periods every six months. The common cause of infrequent periods is a condition called polycystic ovaries. This is a common condition affecting as many as 10 per cent of women. There are a large number of very small (less than 1cm) cysts on the ovaries and these are in association with a hormone imbalance. The result of this is that women do not ovulate regularly and so their periods are usually infrequent.
Some of the factors associated with temporary cessation of periods are: 1) Calorie-restricted diets 2) Strenuous exercise3) High levels of stress. Some women with no previous symptoms also miss periods after discontinuing use of oral contraceptives. Typically, in each of the above situations, moderation in diet, and exercise, stress reduction, and the passage of time, help return normal menstrual function. Depending on the cause, there may be too much or too little estrogen produced by the body. Over a long period of time too much estrogen can cause overgrowth of the cells in the lining of the uterus, (which can lead to cancer), while too little estrogen can cause calcium loss from the bones (leading to osteoporosis).

Cover the glass and keep it at room temperature during night. Early morning, before breakfast simply remove two pieces of lady finger (bhindi) from the glass and drink that water.Keep doing it on daily basis.
Within two weeks, you will see remarkable results in reduction of your SUGAR.
My sister has got rid of her diabetes. Drinking Hot water after meals

Drinking Hot water after meals This article is not only about the hot water after your meal, but about heart attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or hot water/tea after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.
